The Luc and Ava series has taken the crime reading world by storm, translated into more than 20 languages. There are now 7 books in the series, starting with Perfect Remains and (currently) ending with One for Sorrow.

 

It's fair to say that the questions Helen gets asked most often is, will there be an eighth book inthe series? Well we can't tell you much right now, but we can tell you that plans are in place. We know it was all left on a bit of a cliff-hanger and that many Luc & Ava fans are desperate to find out what's happened to Luc. And you'll find out soon.

Luc and Ava are joined in their adventures by an amazing cast of side-characters, from the irreverent DI Lively to the abrasive Superintendent Overbeck. Over the years, that cast has spread out into other books. American computer hacker Ben was a cameo in The Institution. Journalist Lance Proudfoot appeared in standalone novel, The Last Girl to Die. And DI Lively will take centre stage in Helen's August 2025 novel The Watcher.
